I enjoyed both 'The Androids Of Tara' and 'The Stones Of Blood' from the previous season.

This didn't work for me simply because of the way it was executed on screen. The script is actually pretty good.Frank Collinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00680654042528560764noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3737235139994190228.post-26319431843065658692009-04-04T14:43:00.000+01:002009-04-04T14:43:00.000+01:00I have really happy memories of this season, well,...I have really happy memories of this season, well, apart for The Horns of Nimon which was just a joke too far. Poor old Shada, eh? That would have made such a difference. I'm a big fan of Nightmare of Eden, I love all the big sci-fi ideas in it. I know why other people might dislike it - overlit, monsters who look like a disco band, etc., but I still enjoy watching it. I haven't seen this one since it was broadcast, though, and all I can remember was my brother killing himself laughing at the blowjob sequence and the wolfweeds attacking K9.

I'm also a bit of a fan of David Fisher - The Stones of Blood terrified me as a kid, and even though it's a bit of a mess I still love it - that and The Leisure Hive. He's rather underrated.John Grindrodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03067106605722692491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3737235139994190228.post-11315364934050411812009-04-03T22:13:00.000+01:002009-04-03T22:13:00.000+01:00I'd have to agree with you there-the new K9 series...I'd have to agree with you there-the new K9 series looks like the Uwe Boll version of SJA. :( .

I'm afraid I never really got into S17-COD's excellent, Destiny's okay, but I find the other stories are pretty unmemorable.Vector-Victornoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3737235139994190228.post-55316118443183732332009-04-03T14:15:00.000+01:002009-04-03T14:15:00.000+01:00At about the time this originally went out I was k...At about the time this originally went out I was kind of throwing teenage strops about everything and only very vaguely recall the story. Like you, I came back to this as an adult and found it wanting. Camp and noisy for the most part. Bayldon's good.

The new K9 series officially looks cack. Basically, it's the 'The Sarah Jane Adventures' without Sarah and an abomination of design calling itself K9. Not for me, thanks.Frank Collinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00680654042528560764noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3737235139994190228.post-32394338693514292452009-04-03T11:16:00.000+01:002009-04-03T11:16:00.000+01:00I have very vivid memories of watching this as a c...I have very vivid memories of watching this as a child and being very, very scared. Similarly, Nightmare of Eden terrified me.

Imagine my disappointment when I came to view them both as an adult. Just what the flippin' eff was I scared of??

At least that K9 sounds half~decent, unlike the new "Is it British? Is it Australian?" one...
